MonCurse Public Update V0.6.8 - Fox Ranch


Quick summary:

  • Added in a new alternate ending to 0-3 "a long walk" where the fox gets bullied

  • Added dragon-harpy corruption (tail) and a weirdly specific ability that both player-with-tail and harpy-with-tail can do. Sometimes.

  • Various other things (fixed camera, other bugfixes, added in more music tracks, ambience)

I've also added a big bold notice on the page to say "don't click links in the comment section" because bots have been dropping malicious links in the comment sections of games lately. if it gets any worse I'll disable comments but maybe it'll get fixed...? This applies to all itch.io pages, not just mine.


This public update took 3 months apparently. Back in winter, I got one out almost every month or so ... The two reasons for that are:

1. Bureaucratic reasons. A certain government entity has not responded to me in almost a year, so I can't stay in a place where I have time-saving services and actual office space and no allergy problems, so I've been cleaning up a room and working from there. It's been slower than average. I will, however, be returning to high-efficiency mode very soon!!

2. New game region. Work on the new region (and Imps) doesn't make it to the public version since it's all in-development, so that took some of my time.

I don't think the desert will be in the final demo version of the game (I need to put a price on the game to upload to some sites like DLsite, or for steam to take me seriously) but I'll likely put it in a public version before the game is finished. There are still artists lined up to do various pieces of content - Imp's ending, Wolf's other ending, Harpy's ending, more Parish stuff. I don't know when it'll happen but as always, I can do my own art and other parts of the game while I wait on it. Speaking of which, the fox's new scene art was provided by Nio Kasgami. Now there's an actual reason for the "extreme BE" toggle to exist besides capping growth from milk.

I've got a lot of hope since I've finally opened up into the desert. A lot of old unfinished content is finally getting finished. The only serious concern I have left is about how to make a system that lets the player keep skills and pick-ups in the long-term, rather than resetting at the end of every run, but I don't have any good ideas for it yet... aaaa anyway that's enough I wanna go cook food. devlog over. bye!!

Excellent game, I’ve been following it for 3 or 4 years. However, I miss the vaginal sex scene, which uses the enemy futa’s dicks. Apart from that, the rest is wonderful.

Yay, an update.  Make sure to take care of yourself first, the game comes second to the health of the creator.

actually, I have an idea for saving pick-ups and abilities; what about a chest for customising what abilities and pick ups you have, and you unlock them to choose as you encounter them, with abilities potentially having some available to specific transformations if that's a thing in the game already?

I've thought about something like that and it makes the most sense. But it'd take quite a bit of work to set up the UI and system for it and I don't want to get started on it until I'm confident in it.
I've had other ideas like having each transformation (or lack of transformation) give a skill by default but I'm not confident in that either ...

Is there an update on the android version?
